Hello everyone. Oscar here again.



Last night I went to a club my friend was spinning some R&B tunes.
When I went there, The owner of the club mentioned she was looking for DJs.
Long story short, I was offered to spin at the club.

Of course not like every week since I'm not really a good DJ.
My highest priority in Second Life is shopping!
And also my real life is quite busy and a lot of times I can not afford to stay up late.



But



I'm sure I will spin at that club one day.
When I do, I will post an article about it.
Hope you guys would come to listen and dance.

I'm quite busy in real life, but I found some time to practice my mix today.
while I was practicing, I thought that I haven't done much of a collage in my blog.
I took few pictures in Second Life, and also in real life, put pictures together.
This is how it ended up.


DJ controller I'm using in Second Life is ALLEN & HEATH xone:4D
Very expensive professional use DJ controller.
I heard this controller is suitable for DJ's who spin electro music.
The reason is pretty obvious, the jog wheel is too small for scratching.

DJ controller I'm using in real life is Vestax VCI-300.
I was told this was the first professional use DJ controller.
I was able to acquire this controller in a very low price since it is an outdated product.

To me, the sensitivity of jog wheel and responses of buttons are perfect.

Maybe one day, I may have chance to spin somewhere in Second Life.

Recently, out of the blue, it just came across my mind that maybe, just maybe I should DJ.


There is no way I can be DJ in real life, but anybody can at least try to be something in Second Life. Right?


I went to several dance clubs in Second Life and listen to several DJ's live mix.
It seems like I'm comfortable with Jazz/soulful/deep/vocal house.
There is nothing much I can do so far except beat match and mix.
I bought used cheap DJ controller that gives good enough response.
With my controller, I can mix, loop, use effect and samples.
I don't think I would use all the features though lol



When I successfully determine what I want to do and come up with nice set. I may hold a gig somewhere.
If that happens, I hope you guy can join me. For now, I have to dig into more music and practice.
