Lighting tips
Hello everyone. Oscar here again.
I'm not so sure if this is what many people does, but This is what I do when I need extra light.
When do we need extra light?
Let's take a look at this picture.
Having beautiful sunset behind avatar would be a great moment to take snapshots.
If you ever tried it, you would know that the front side of avatar would be too dark.
having face light on could be one of the solution.
But face light would only make the facial area bright and from neck to below would be dark.
Body light would be another option, but both face light and body light are often to bright.
What I do is simply rez a prim and put check mark on "light" under feature tab in edit window.
Adjust the radius and intensity and place it on the preferred location.
Light control becomes more easy and it is free!
Here is a snapshot of the same sky setting without lighting prim.
You can see that there is not enough light and entire avatar just looks to dark.
Oh. I also adjust the angle of the sun and direction as well.
This would be he only way to have a sun/moon at the right spot.
It is just fun, adjusting sun/moon position, trying different presets, and adjusting lighting.

Snapshots
Hello everyone. Oscar here again.
I had been busy lately and didn't have chance to log into Second Life.
Today, I found just a little bit of time. Didn't feel like shopping, so I decided to take few snapshots.
Last time, I used NIRANS viewer.
Today, I deicded to use Firestorm.
Firestorm has many sky setting presets.
Simple things like changing direction of sun/moon or gamma make big difference.
If you haven't tried it yet. I strongly recommend you to try.

Higher Graphic Setting
Hello everyone. Oscar here again.
I took couple of snapshots using NIRANS viewer.
I usually do not have check mark on "High Precision Rendering".
You can find this under Display-General-Diferred Rendering.
My PC is not an high end gaming PC so if I enable this setting
frame rate goes all the way down to 5. 5 or so.
But the graphic quality becomes superb.
I wish one day I can buy a very fast gaming PC.
