I stopped by Stiletto Moody to buy a pair of high-heeled shoe.
As far as I know, this store serves a lot of Second Life models.
While back, shoes with realistic toes were very rare and what they offered was the best in the market.
Stiletto Moody is a top brand of the shoes industry and the pricing is also very much up there.

Their product is sculpted prim.
I know mesh has become the center of the Second Life fashion.
If I speak of the toes and shoes, Slink has introduced their natural feet and add-on footwear which has established impeccable reputation for the realist appearance of the toe and how mesh feet seamlessly connects to the ankle.

Let's take a look at the high-heeled shoes I bought from Stiletto Moody.

As you can see, toes look stunningly realistic and design of the shoes are superb.
I struggled to match the color of the feet to my ankle. I eventually pulled out my Photo Shop.
Took snapshot of the feet and ankle, load it up to Photo Shop, grabbed the color of ankle and obtained RGB value. I entered the same value to the HUD, but it still looks just a little off.
This could be due to my sky setting, so I will not pursue the road of color matching anymore.

Above was pro and next will be the con.
The trend of Second Life fashion has entered the era of mesh.
Top brand like Stiletto Moody should at least consider keeping up with the trend.
Brand name value and quality of the products are high. Why not go mesh?

Another thing I want to point out is the usage of invisible prim.
It is not like I have checked all of their products but it seems like they are still using invisible prim.
with the latest viewer, invisible prim can show some glitches.
As many of you may know, these type of shoes are covered with invisible prim.
What ever that is protruding from the sculpted feet/shoes will be invisible.
This was working perfectly fine before, but now it doesn't work so well.
I believe There is a setting of how to render invisible prim under certain kind of environment settings.
I tried to mitigate the problem by changing settings but failed.
Eventually I had to wear alpha layer of some other shoes.

Summery
Stiletto moody shoes looks great but they should keep up with the trend.
It would be better if they go mesh and use alpha layer instead of invisible prim.

As I wrote in my previous article, I went back to REDGRAVE and bought the liquid mesh jeans.
Jeans will fit most size of the avatar. You do not have to adjust your shape to standard sizing.






I decided to wear one of the combo I bought at coldLogic on top.
Speaking of coldLogic, They have released new products few days ago.
I must go check them out!!!
